Austria’s capital community volunteers deliver fact-based drug education with young people across the city
Vienna — 23 December 2025 — Community volunteers linked to Foundation for a Drug-Free World Austria are expanding outreach in Vienna, engaging youth, families and educators via street information stands and event-based activities. Led locally by Gabriele Toker, the initiative relies on “Truth About Drugs” materials to present straightforward information on drug risks, with particular attention to cannabis, described by public monitoring bodies as the most widely used illicit drug in Europe. Details were published in a published overview.
Organisers say, the Vienna activities focus on early prevention, with visibility at major public events, including the Donauinselfest, news eua while also connecting with educators interested in classroom-ready resources. Ivan Arjona, Scientology’s representative to the EU, OSCE, Council of Europe and the United Nations, said: “Prevention works best when young people receive verified information early, in plain language—strengthening public health and civic responsibility.”
